The book came very quickly and was very useful for my kindergarten class. These are NOT little books, they are roughly about 500 pages long and he's on the 3rd one. If you like the Detective Bill Slider novels, the Dalziel and Pascoe series, and Stephanie Plum, the Rafferty 18-strong series brings the wit, wisdom, and willingness to bend the law with the best of them. It started a little slow in my opinion but did introduce many new characters and that takes time. I offer one criticism of the book: Reynolds' writing style - though fluid, lively, rich, engaging - could here and there benefit by some minor editing.
