Each reading reveals more hidden “word treasures” and I enjoy it as much now that I am as old as dirt as I did when I was a young grasshopper. "Highly, highly recommended for anyone who has ever been the slightest bit interested in the American West and cowboy culture. Stories help us process it. I grew up with Immortals, and no other author gives me such a fluttery feeling in my chest. The short chapters make it easy to read for those who just want to pick it up and put it down, but I bet you can't stop once you start. However, when reading on this subject keep in mind that research is being done every day and some of it will be dated by the time the book goes to press. I was actually rooting for him to, and kinda disappointed when he didn't.
