I could have used a bit more guidance on some parts of the plan, but this book was definetly a wonderful help to me, and will be in the future. The main title and chapter headings repeat themselves throughout the text. He spent part of his life in the US with quite an exclusive club; Warhol, Capote, Kennedy, Graham to name a few. His descriptions of the characters, the area, local politics and interactions were insightful and vivid and as such, put the reader into the middle of the mystery plot. I found it defective in one aspect only: it doesn't put enough emphasis on the fact that the Islamic fundamentalism has pushed the majority of the Muslim countries so much low in the degree of civil, economic and scientific development that it has compromised their capacity to survive as a positive element of progress.
