I lovehow she doesnt just say cook the meat for five minutes but also what it should look like so you know if you should go a litltle longer or lessshe does this in so many recipes and its so helpful to a less experienced cook (especially one like me who has shied away from meat in the past). The characters are interesting as well. The part where the crew runs up and down masts to raise and lower sails still irks me somewhat though.
